ROSSLARE MD-25TB Power Supply / Secure Relay I/O Module

INTRODUCTION

The MD-25TB is a Secure Relay I/O Module that converts ROSSLARE’S Convertible Series (AYC) Readers Into Secure Standalone Controllers. With the Secure Module Installed Inside the Secure Premises, Critical Wiring For Inputs, Outputs, REX, And Lock are Inside the Secure Premises Away from External Manipulation. The Secure Module Supplies Power to The Controller And Utilizes a Proprietary TWO-WAY Protocol to Communicate with The Controller. The MD-25TB May be Wall Mounted Or Installed in The ME-0515M Multipurpose Power Management Enclosure.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The MD-25TB isolates the lock from the Controller Unit, securing lock functionality when the Controller Unit is tampered with on the outside of the secure premises. The proprietary two-way protocol allows the Controller Unit to activate the Lock/Auxiliary relays and activate the built in speaker (for bell, chime, and siren) in the Secure Module, while the Secure module can also communicate REX input status to the Controller Unit. If the data line between the Controller Unit and the secure module is cut, the system detects the data line has been tampered with and generates a one-minute siren and closes the lock output. The MD-25TB is designed to be used together with Rosslare's ME-0515M Multipurpose Power Management Enclosure, providing optimum performance and convenience together with universal AC input and a UPS using a Sealed Lead Acid backup battery inside a spacious metal enclosure.
